About the Blue Wind Project
The Blue Wind Project was founded by Khadija Hamdi, a Tunisian native with a doctorate in art history from Sorbonne University in Paris, who splits her time between Barcelona and Tunis. BWP mirrors the fusion of cultures and traditions that have shaped Khadija's life journey. It primarily showcases artists from North Africa and Spain, striving to facilitate dialogue across the Mediterranean. It emphasises media seldom represented by galleries in the MENA region, such as video, digital art, drawing, and installation. It advocates emerging artists that lack representation and visibility, aiming to bridge cultural diversity through contemporary art, while fostering dialogue around socio-political questions and identity matters. Beyond exhibitions, both within and outside gallery settings, the BWP facilitates exchange through public lectures and roundtable discussions. Its primary objective is to forge partnerships with various contemporary art institutions and museums.
